$We are converting an airport shuttle bus into a "tiny home." Because much is yet to be done, we are charging only a fraction of what this 240 sq ft "home" will ultimately rent for. Meanwhile, you will still have the incredible lake views, Cal King bed, TV (plus VHS/DVD player and tons of movie titles), coffee maker, fridge, and microwave. You'll also be able to enjoy the other activities our guests participate in free of charge (e.g., canoe and kayaks, barbecue pits, fire rings, etc.). Please note that we opted not to put a bathroom in this unit. This is because there are men's and women's restrooms about literally about a 20 second (100 foot) walk away. With each of those restrooms having more floor space than the entire "Tiny Home" you will be enjoying, we thought that was good idea. In addition to having sinks and commodes, those men's and women's rooms each have two hot showers, far more spacious than could be placed in the most exquisite of RVs or "Tiny Homes." Additionally, we are currently constructing a brand new ADA-compliant unisex restroom with shower which will provide the ultimate in comfort and privacy. $10 Per Pet Fee can be paid upon arrival and no animals on bedding please. You may access the seawall (where, with a valid license, you can fish), the activities room, the rest rooms with shower (there is no bathroom in the RV), the fish tank area, the outdoor movie theater (weather permitting), the beach area, the boat ramp, our canoe and kayaks, and the laundry. Additionally, Keeling Park (a lovely county park with another boat ramp, a dock, more barbecues, picnic tables, and children's play things) is next door. We have two on-site managers/hosts who are dedicated to having our guests enjoy our park. That, after all, is our web address: (URL HIDDEN) (URL HIDDEN) We are on a quiet street just off of Highway 20. We are less than a two minute drive from "downtown" Nice. The best gas prices in the area are two miles away. In addition to Keeling Park next door, there are a number of other County parks, including Hammond park (less than 3/4 of a mile away) which just opened in October 2016. What a great ballfield! As mentioned, there are numerous outdoor activities in the area. (Did we already tell you that the bird life is extraordinary?) There is hiking, water sports, rock climbing and more. The Rodman Preserve - a 442 acre wildlife and wetlands area that helps manage the nearby Rodman Slough - has an Education Center with nature walks held year-round every Saturday morning. There are innumerable fishing tournaments. (Clear Lake is the only lake in the entire USA to have been rated in the top ten bass-fishing lakes every year since Bassmaster started its rating system in 2012.) Similarly, with it's crisp, clean air, the night skies are spectacular. Traffic is rarely a problem, especially since (i) we have no rush hour, and (ii) CalTrans performed extensive improvements along much of Highway 20 in 2015-2016. The County transit system has two bus lines that stop in Nice. They can be used to take passengers to every town around Clear Lake, to Hidden Valley Lake, Middletown, Calistoga and Deer Park, and to Ukiah as well. Lake County, which (according to the American Lung Association) is the county with the clean air in the entire USA, is truly a beautiful area. The views are stunning, especially from a lakeside location such as ours. But one can hike virtually anywhere and be awe-inspired. There is an abundance of bird life, phenomenal fishing, and a variety of other outdoor activities. The quaint town of Upper Lake is right next door to Nice, and Lakeport (the County seat) is ten miles away. For those wanting "night life," there are two casinos within five miles, and another less than ten miles further. The County of Lake has taxes that total 10.5%. AirBNB does not provide any method of adding that in their listing. (They have incorporated that tax in certain areas, but Lake County is not one of them.) AirBNB claims that they are "working on this," but it is not yet available. Guests will be asked to pay this additional amount prior to departure.$
