$On offer is our “YANUCA” room which is one of three private rooms available in our large family home (see other listings to book either the “Cobia” and/or “Yavu” room ). We are located in Rakiraki Village, just outside of Rakiraki town. Each room has its own private bathroom and toilet. Guests have access to a commun lounge room, verandah and kitchen. We have a range of water and land activities available too. Our place offers a true Fijian experience full of Fijian adventure! As you are living within a village you will get to experience true Fijian culture and hospitality - through local people and a taste of local cuisine cooked by Alisi. Our dive shop also offers a gateway to the world class diving that Rakiraki is well known for - at a fraction of the cost of what the neighbouring resorts charge. Joji is highly skilled diving professional (20+ years experience) so you are in experienced hands! He's also always ready for a laugh and adventure so an unforgettable experience is guaranteed! There's a verandah adjacent to the private room which permits guests to take in the local sights of our local fauna and flora, as well as waving out to village passer-byers. We open our home to all our guests who wish to be social allowing them access to our kitchen and lounge. It is important to note that we have three rooms available for booking in our large family home so you may have other guests booked in at the same time. We have opened our family home up to guests to offer a true Fijian experience, so we will be regularly available and always ready for a chat or to share a big BULA smile. You will be living and breathing everyday Fijian life but you are assured privacy in your own room. If you have young children they will be well entertained by our children who can play and even take them around the local village sights if they are up for it! We live on the cusp of a traditional Fijian village, which allows for a unique Fijian experience. As you will be living in the Fijian village, you will need to pay respect to the village headman by way of a "sevusevu" which involves a kava (traditional drink) ceremony. Kava will need to be purchased by guests at an extra cost (approx. $20FJ). We are close to the main road that goes around Viti Levu Island (Kings Road) and so there is easy access to the convenient bus system. If you require a car pickup we may be able to arrange this for you at extra cost - just ask, and we will help where we can! Our kitchen can be used by guests, but Alisi also offers meals at $15FJ per person per meal. Meals include Fijian traditional cuisine and Western meals, upon request. Diving and other activities should be booked at time of booking to avoid disappointment.$
