$Our place is for anyone traveling to Portland/Vancouver area. All the access for a fraction of the price. Our townhome is approx. 15min from PDX across the Columbia River via 205 highway. We are married couple in our early 40's, liberal, well-traveled and super friendly. We welcome travelers from any background, race or sexual orientation and we do our best to make your stay relaxing, welcoming and warm. Welcome to our casual modern sanctuary. Our home is split level Townhome with open style Living room and Kitchen downstairs. Upstairs are the private bedrooms, baths and laundry. You have your own private bathroom across from your room. We also keep a home-office upstairs, that means if you're needing office stuff like copying and printing, we can hook you up. We do enjoy cooking and can often be found there making the neighbors jealous. You are always welcome to make use of the kitchen, living room or patio, whether you hangout with us or not. Your bathroom is well stocked with supplies and Zen, including our own homemade bath salts and essential oils. Guests have full access to a private room and private bathroom, living room and kitchen. We even keep space in the fridge for your food. We have a coffee station with local coffee, teas and sugar. You will find a breakfast hamper with OJ, yogurts and creamers as well as real whole milk in the fridge. A breakfast tray with selection of cereal, oatmeal and breakfast bars will be set up for you on the dining table, enjoy your breakfast on us! We stream pretty much everything we watch, so you'll love our super fast fibre optic WiFi, a hideaway TV and a bundle of streaming platform like Netflix/Hulu/HBO/Showtime/Prime and CBS! :-) Designated spot in the driveway for one guest vehicle, directly in front of the front entrance door. My husband and I are freelancers and work from home so we are NOT typical 9 - 5 people. We relocated to PNW about 2 years ago and absolutely love it here. We are here to help so please do not hesitate to ask us for any recommendations and we are also happy to give you space. We are tucked in a little neighborhood positioned perfectly in the center of Vancouver, just off 4th Plain Blvd but adjacent to a large country club. A five minute drive or fifteen minute walk to Vancouver Mall or another large center with stores like Walmart & Target. Simply a plethora of shopping, restaurants, markets, gyms, theaters or hike/bike trails. Two traffic lights from a major freeway equals quick access if you're heading out further. 15 minute drive to PDX airport. Two blocks from State Route 500 which immediately ramps to I-205 straight south to the the airport exit. Ride-shares (aka Lyft or Uber) are usually only 2-3 minutes away. 15 minute walking distance to the Vancouver Mall or another major shopping center with big box shops, gyms, and restaurants. This means TWO different movie theaters, groceries, shopping, dinning and most your needs are within a very close walk (or the very next bus stop). "The Vine" is an Express bus line that stops at the corner of our street every 10 minutes. This express route runs Fourth Plain Blvd between the Vancouver mall and downtown Vancouver. Each end of the route is a major transit center with connections crossing into Portland. We do keep an extra pre-paid bus card "Hop Pass" if you need. 15 minute drive to almost any corner of Vancouver means quick access to anyplace your destined including: County Fair Grounds and Amphitheater Concert Venue, Downtown Vancouver or even Camas/Washougal shopping. PLEASE NOTE BEFORE YOU MAKE THE BOOKING: - Read the house rules, please. - There are absolutely NO outdoor shoes past the foyer. - There is absolutely NO smoking anywhere on the property or the grounds. - There is one flight of stairs that you will need to climb, so please consider that when making your booking. - We have a large service dog in training in the house. He will NOT have access to your room and your bathroom. The dog also is never left unsupervised. If you have allergies or otherwise issue with large dog, this place might not be a best choice for you. - We LOVE hosting people and are able to accommodate a lot of quirks and requests AND we expect you to remember that this is our home and not a hotel. Please be respectful and treat it as such.$
